Itinerary

1

Day 1

Drive to Dhunche

Drive from Kathmandu over the Trishuli valley to the district town of Dhunche (1,960m).

Day 2

Dhunche to Chandanbari

Climb through oak and hemlock forest to Chandanbari / Sing Gompa (3,330m) and its small cheese factory.

Day 3

Chandanbari to Gosaikunda

Ascend the exposed ridge past Lauribinayak, with the first lakes appearing before Gosaikunda (4,380m).

Day 4

Gosaikunda acclimatisation and exploration

A day among the lakes — optional walk toward the Laurebina La for wider views.

Day 5

Gosaikunda to Chandanbari

Retrace the ridge down to the forest lodges at Chandanbari.

Day 6

Chandanbari to Dhunche

Final forest descent to Dhunche.

7

Day 7

Drive to Kathmandu

Return drive to Kathmandu, arriving mid-afternoon.
